On the topic of “play” my research project presents the phenomenon of the Pokémon Trading Card Game and everything surrounding it. Why have we seen a continual multi-generational obsession for these artifacts since their initial release? To organize this research I chose to categorize scales of spaces as an ecology of sorts. From the space of the individual card to the virtual world of Pokémon GO, the anatomy of each space is broken down to its various aspects.
